What is a Username? Is it important?
A username uniquely identifies your profile on . Every member has a unique username. The username appears at the top of every profile. |

Are there any specific DOs and DON'Ts while specifying a UserName during registration?
Choose a Username that suits your profile and personality. Your Username can contain only alphabets, numbers and the underscore ( _ ) character. The length of the Username should be between 4 and 20 letters.
Your Username should NOT contain contact information like e-mail address, telephone numbers, website addresses, fax numbers, etc. This is against the terms of use/service agreement for and your profile will not be visible if you go against these terms.

While registering I got an error message which asks me to choose another Username. Why?
This is because the Username you chose has already been registered by another member of . You must choose a Username that has not yet been registered by any other member. It is also possible that the Username you chose is in violation of our service agreement.

While registering, I got an error message that says that my e-mail address is already registered and that I must specify another e-mail address. Why does this happen?
Every profile posted on is associated with only one unique e-mail address. You may have received this error message because you or someone else has already posted a matrimonial profile using this e-mail address. If you think your email address is being used by someone else, please do send us an email from the email address that is under contention and let us know.

What is a partner profile?
The partner profile describes your preferences for a partner. Other members can view your partner profile and if they think that their profile matches your preferences, they can contact you. Also, profile matching service matches your partner profile with other members' personal profiles and gives you a list of those matching profiles.
To create your partner profile all you need to do is follow the following steps:
Login to your Account.
Click on Partner Profile under My Profile.
Specify what qualities you are looking for in a partner by filling out the form. Click the 'Submit' button at the end of the form.
Your partner profile will now be displayed along with your personal profile to all members. You can edit you partner profile any time you want by following a similar procedure as above.

Is it necessary to attach a photo to my profile? How can I attach a photo to my profile?
Our statistics show that adding a photo to your profile increases the number of times your profile is viewed by upto 7 times. You are likely to receive 10 times as many responses if you attach a photo. The most viewed profiles are those that have a photo.
To attach a photograph all you need to do is follow the following steps:
Login to your Account.
Click on Manage Photos under My Profile section and follow the instructions there.

I didn't receive my confirmation code/email?
You must use a valid email address when registering. We send an account activation code to the email address you specified during registration. You must validate your account by following the instructions in that email. If you didn't receive a confirmation code and are sure you used a valid email address, you can use the "Re-request Confirmation" link located at the very top of the page under the "Go" button. Otherwise , you must re-register with a valid email address. If you are still having problems, please use the "Contact Us" link located at the bottom of the page to notify us. |
